Tomorrow, my baby, Logan, will be 6 weeks old. 6 weeks. I almost can’t believe it.
Logan had a doctor’s appointment today. At our last two appointments, we discussed getting his two month shots early. Unfortunately because today he was one day shy of six weeks, he could not get his shots. But he can get them as early as next week.
For the first time ever, we didn’t have to wait very long. Normally no matter what time we get there, we have to wait for at least 45 minutes or more before we even get to see the nurse before the doctor. Today it was maybe 15 minutes. Not complaining today.
Our regular doctor had a med student with her today. I always love when there are students there because they get to ask questions and I get to ask more questions, and it’s a whole big learning experience for everyone. And usually questions are brought up that probably wouldn’t have been otherwise. Actually, that’s a reason I love the doctor and hospital we go to: it’s a teaching hospital.
In other news, Logan is a healthy, growing little boy. 12 lbs, 26.5 inches long and a head size that is well above average. Seriously. The nurse had to measure it twice to make sure she measured correctly. The whole time she was saying, I wonder whose head you have – mommy’s or daddy’s. It’s funny because it’s true.
What’s even better is that he’s doing well at everything from holding his head up to talking/cooing to making eye contact and looking around. This kid even burps and poops like a champ. Yup. That’s mah kid!
